The FIFA World Cup is the pinnacle of football history where countries worldwide compete to win the tournament. The 2022 World Cup in Qatar is expected to be watched by 5 billion people around the world, making it the most-watched event of all time!
The 40,000-seat Al Thumama Stadium will host FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™️, where a total of 8 matches will be played. The stadium’s design represents the gahfiya – a traditional woven cap worn by men and boys across the Middle East. The Safiya forms a fundamental layer of the conventional clothing of the region. It is also a symbol of dignity and independence.
At IDEA, we were tasked to design and manufacture litter containers that not only look great but also represent the ongoing event. We created our "Urbo" FIFA 2022 Qatar edition litter bins as a solution. The metal panels of the litter bins illustrate the world cup with traditional ornaments from Qatar. turn
